Is it time for more employers to deal directly with benefit providers?

A recent survey by the group risk industry body Group Risk Development (Grid) of 503 HR decision-makers, has found that more than 44% of employers are contacting providers directly when sourcing or reviewing employee benefits. Only 26% are sourcing benefits via an adviser.


Perhaps this is a trend that will continue as providers step up the support they provide direct to employers, and with employers getting support behind the scenes by non-regulated firms with EB expertise at a lower cost.
